The app contains the text and audio of the Bible in the Hutterite language (Hutterisch). At this time only the NT is available and corrections to the audio will be added in future updates.
“Hutterisch” is a minority language spoken by Hutterites in the prairie states of Canada and the US. The Hutterites share a common history with other anabaptist groups, such as the Mennonites and the Amish. They fled to America due to severe and gruesome persecution during and after the reformation, which lead to the death of many. Today the Hutterites live communally in over 500 colonies. They practice shared ownership of goods and generally operate large farming operations, often combined with some kind of manufacturing business.
